Throw pillows have been very popular at the shows lately so its time to come up with some new one-of-a-kind designs.
Here is the first one: Oh so soft and squishy! Even the embellishment is soft to the touch- the button is made from wet felted merino wool.
Yummy colors and texture perfect for that dorm room or anywhere you need a splash of color and texture!
Be sure to stop by The Puddle People for new additions daily!

I just hung these 2 great prints I purchased from Laurie May Coyle. She is one of the fabulously talented artisans who make up BerkshireMade.
I bought them last week at the park in Lee. I knew they would be perfect hanging over the fireplace in my kitchen and I was right. Everytime I look at them, they make me smile. (Thanks Laurie!)
Check out all of Laurie’s wonderful creations at www.LaurieCoyleDesigns.etsy.com. This girl is multi-talented- she paints, she draws, she sews…

The Heart in Art on Etsy: Creative Giving Handpicked on Etsy Today’s ‘potpourri’ showcase is about beauty emanating from hand and heart. These Etsy artists are but a few among many who combine their artistic skills with the spirit of giving to benefit those in need, donating all or part of their proceeds to worthy causes from cancer or autism research to child or animal welfare. Browsing Etsy’s search pages, I was inspired by generous artisans working in a broad range of media and styles, working independently or in teams to raise funds for charity.

Marie a needlefelt artist from New Zealand and I traded some of our creations
She convo-ed me on Etsy and told me she loved this bowl so I selected some items from her Etsy shop and we traded.
Since I am blessed to live in a house that is 174 years old and has a great brick wall with cubbies in my kitchen, I knew exactly where my new treasures would go…and they look just as good as I expected them too!
Everytime I walk down there, I am delighted! See what I mean:
Thank you Marie!

My family has been extremely busy.
Lots going on in my family: my son’s burn accident, surgery for me, a fall for my mother in law, a couple of graduations, a virus for my husband…everything seems to have quieted down now. THANKFULLY!
Now I need to get back to work…my felting and mosiacs have taken a back seat to all the many things occupying our days lately, but I was recently contacted by Marie from SoftEarthArt.etsy.com. Check out her shop.
Marie lives in New Zealand. That’s just one of the amazing things about Etsy. Not only are there wonderful handmade creations, but I have met so many wonderful people from around the world.
Marie was interested in this one of my felted bowls and she was wondering if I would be interested in trading.Marie does some different felting than I do so I was thrilled for the opportunity-not only to trade, but to make a new friend!
In exchange for my bowl, Marie is sending me several of her pieces and I am very excited:
I can’t wait to receive all my little treasures! Thanks Marie for contacting me to trade! I am delighted!
